Name: WOLFE, Annie Pamlia Registration district: Isle of Wight County: Hampshire Year of registration:1883 Quarter of registration: Oct-Nov-Dec Mother's maiden name: Not available before 1911 Q3 Volume no:2B Page no:590 1901 Census: At this address of: 1 & 2, St Thomas Square, Ryde, IOW. There was an Kate A Bull a widow aged 40 born Merstone IOW, as a Housekeeper. 13 single women working as Drapers Assistants. And 2 General Servant (Domestic) my "Annie Pamila Wolfe" aged 19 was one and , "Annie L Hayter" from Whippingham, IOW. aged 22 was the other. I can find no marriage or death for her, on Free BMD or Findmypast I have tried with spelling alternatives on, and removing the miss spelt " Pamlia" Thanks, Mick IOW.

Depending on how desperate you are, you could try tracing back to the marriage of the half dozen or so Ann* +/-2y and born in Ryde who show up as married women in 1911. Plan B might be to find her parents in 1911 if you haven't already done so in case she is with them under a married name, mistranscribed name or the age error has worsened; a slimmer chance might lie with looking for any mention of her if either parent has an index listing for a will/administration. Also watch out for her changing her surname if her father died between 1901-1911 and her mother has remarried; she is a bit old for doing so but I've seen the occasional adult who has done so .
