There's nowt so queer as folk! Exactly the same thin happened in Sheffield, at the Northern General Hospital, Herries Road - formerly Firvale Workhouse. See for example http://www.sheffieldindexers.com/NorthernGeneralHospital.html I have a couple of dozen burials where this 2 or 12 Herries Road is given as the place of death.
