True, Charles, but I can only imagine those T&C's being relevant and effective for large-scale misuse of the data. It would not be practical for such companies to chase genuine genealogists since for every friendly lookup that might be performed, there will be probably be a new customer who want to take advantage of the collections that are getting indirect advertising. I have to say that most references in this list are to Ancestry rather than findmypast. Tony Proctor
