[] It may have been, but (as well as the fact that I _have_ seen them referred to as Jan, Apr, July, and Oct), there are lots of cases where the word - or concept - of "quarter" gets dropped/lost, so what was "Jun Qtr 1897" gets recorded/shown as "Jun 1897".
