I have taken hundreds of photographs with my normal digital camera of microfilm and microfiche screens - highest megapixel setting, macro, no flash - by hand without a tripod with very good results. Some libaries such as the Family History Library in Salt Lake City have do-it-yourself microfilm to USB stick machines that achieve even better quality. Trevor Rix
