What I find strange is that records I previously accessed from the NHS Centre for my parents (who were both born in 1919) are still redacted on the FindMyPast data. The NHS staff obviously knew that they were both deceased, so I assumed that there must have been some indication of that added to the register - but apparently that's not the case. It seems strange that they would amend names in the register right up to 1991, yet not add some annotation indicating such a basic event as death. -- Brian Pears (Gateshead)
