I did try name variants e.g. *ders, *der without any success. I couldn't find any Sevenoaks Union Workhouse (St John's Hill Workhouse) entries so do not know whether the workhouse was included in the 1841 census.

I needed to put Sevenoaks Union in Street field (not Sevenoaks Union Workhouse); some other workhouses are under House name. No sign of William Saunders in the Sevenoaks Union Workhouse in 1841 census.
