Michael Donovan (Perhaps Samuel Michael) apparently died in December 1857 in Pyalong or perhaps Kilmore, Vic, but death was registered in 1858. Ancestry.com's records say he died in "Victoria" (great help) and his father's name is unknown. That may be all that is recorded. He is supposed to have been born in Tipperary, but my contact says N.Z. Can SKS tell me what the index _really_ says? The rego number is 8480 of 1858. Hi Doug, The digger entry has ... Father - unknown Mother - blank Place of birth - Cork Place of death - blank As it was registered in Victoria, Place of death would default to Victoria for Ancestry.
