Hi folks, I am helping a friend whose mother graduated as a Nurse in Melbourne around 1963. After viewing the PRO website I found there are items which may cover this period but I am presently unable to research there myself. Is there SKS who may be able to help me with this query? She trained/graduated under the name of either Elizabeth “Betty” Beverly BROWN or Joy Lavinia MAYNARD. She was a Nurses Aid in Launceston before arriving in Melbourne. Her age was around 29 – 32. The Items I am interested in are: Nurses Register #11, 27428 – 38671 Nurses Registration Board of Victoria 1958 – 1963 and General Nurses Register #12, 38672 – 45996 Victorian Nursing Council 1963 – 1966 If the person would like to contact me for more information I would be very grateful.
