I hadn't realised that there had been changes. It certainly is a pity as it was, as Danni says, a useful way of finding people especially since many phone numbers are not listed in the white pages. There is a good summary of the current status at http://guides.slsa.sa.gov.au/content.php?pid=319622&sid=2615950 I hadn't realised that from 2009 the hard copy rolls were only produced by electorate and not by State as they were from 1988 - 2008. They won't be available in any form in the future. Perhaps the solution will be to nominate as an independent candidate in an election ;) It will cost you a $1000 though and you need 100 supporters.
