    3. There is a James Dobbie aged 8 immigrating on the Waroonga 1884 (see page 32 of the passenger list below). It appears the family left the ship at Brisbane where it arrived in December 1884. That would put his DOB as 1876. http://www.archives.qld.gov.au/Researchers/ImmigrationIndexes/Documents/Waroonga_1884_Jun_QSA_Item_18481.pdf but it seems a little strange that someone who immigrated with parents and siblings would not list one of them as his next of kin.
