Hi. A slightly strange one here. The death of one William Benedict Ford of Pt Nepean appears both in the Vic Pioneers (1884) and Edwardian indexes (1905). The details are the same. The reg no in the former matches the reg no and year in the latter. Vic Pioneers Index: Surname: FORD Given names: WM BENEDICT Father: SANDLE JAS Mother: SULLIVAN HANNAH Age: 38 Year: 1884 Reg No: 10312X1905 Edwardian Index: Surname: FORD Given names: Wm Benedict Event: D Father: Ford Jas Sandle Mother: Hannah SULLIVAN Age: 38 Death place: Pt Nepean Year: 1905 Reg No: 10312 He was born in Pt Nepean in 1846, so the death in 1884 looks to be correct (age 38). But why does he also appear in 1905? Was it that the death wasn't registered until then? Twenty-one years seems a long delay. Or perhaps just some sort of mix-up in compiling the indexes.
