    3. This is quite unscientific, but we don't have a lot to go on. The advert from way back states that the land is 135ft deep, which is about 41 metres in today's units. (I tried to paste a pic here, but failed. If Pat would get in touch, I'll email it to her.) The blocks to the south of Canterbury Road are close to 49m deep, the ones on the north side are about 46m deep. (The right hand side of the map is the old railway line, where blocks get misshapen) Going further east beyond the railway line for half a km or so, I can't find a block that matches 41m deep. Maybe there have been boundary changes (not likely, IMHO) As a conflicting aside, the bit about the buggy storage etc might however fit in with the lane that existed (and still does, it seems) behind the blocks south of Canterbury Road.
