    3. I didn't make it today, Pat, as one my sons had a surprise pupil-free day (well surprise for me). Sounds just as well that I didn't, given recent contributions (well done). I'll visit tomorrow morning and focus between the two avenues mentioned. regards, Martin On Monday, February 24, 2014 3:51:06 PM UTC+11, Pat Wade wrote: > To all who have been so tirelessly helping me with > > my property issues a very big thank you. > > > > It would appear that "Hazelton" is not quite as > > close to Burke Rd as the real estate agent would > > have you believe in his add but it is between > > Wentworth Ave and Alexandra Ave on the North side > > east of Burke Rd. > > > > I knew he was "up the road" from his brother but > > it looks more like he was "next door". 3. Pat. Unfortunately no plaque saying "Hazelton". No 93 has a plaque saying "Chegwidden"; the only plaque No 95 has says "Friends Welcome" - this is of the period but weatherboard, not brick; No 97 has nothing; No 99 has a high fence (in fact, they all do) and unable to check without going over the top, commando-style; and No 101, on the corner, has nothing. It's a busy road, so I can understand them all having high fences. I'm 6-4 and I was struggling to see over. If your ancestor was a wealthy person, then I would put my money on No 99, as it's the most substantial. It has a room which is on the 2nd storey (though appears to be hidden by trees in Google). I walked a little further down Canterbury Rd a little beyond Alexandra Ave but nothing (again, lots of high walls). Perhaps send a letter to some of these houses and make sure to hand-write the address so that it's not binned along with the advertising mail. regards, Martin On Tuesday, February 25, 2014 12:24:42 AM UTC+11, MartinE wrote: > I didn't make it today, Pat, as one my sons had a surprise pupil-free day (well surprise for me).
