    3. I just plugged him into Ancestry.com. He is in 4 trees, and none of those have his death. He would have been old enough to vote at 21, i.e. in 1889. There is a John Beith in the electoral rolls after that year, at various addresses in the Brunswick area, as you say. But there is another John Beith born 1863 at "Sandhurst, Sandridge," ie either Bendigo or Port Melbourne. He could be the one in Brunswick. No Beith is listed at the Bealiba cemetery: http://www.australiancemeteries.com/vic/loddon/bealibadata.htm There was a girl born in NSW who we thought grew up and married. It turned out that the one who married came from Smythesdale, Vic. I have found no subsequent registration for the NSW girl, and I suspect that she too died young, so young that her death wasn't registered. All very negative.
