Lesley, In case you've not already checked this: http://www.prov.vic.gov.au/ under the index to Register of Assisted British Immigrants 1839-1871, has a list of people on "Herald of the Morning" which apparently had at least two trips to Melbourne (1857 and 1859). I think they may be passengers only but there may be more information available from the records at PROVic (if you are able to get to Melbourne).
