I used FTM2008 for a while and got the half-price upgrade to FTM 2010 (I'm in the US; others might not have been offered that deal). So far I haven't found anything I don't like -- except that it doesn't work like a "real database program" and allow things like (with the proper syntax, of course): Show me all the male descendants of John Smith [the one in my tree who lived from 1711 to 1773] who were born in London between 1850 and 1870 and were living in the USA in 1900.
