A useful reference, Sherrie -- thanks. However, the word 'encyclopaedia' (what a pity that an Australian university should use the American variation) suggests to me an all-embracing coverage of the subject, but that is clearly not the case. It seems to be a quite Victoria-centric treatment, notwithstanding the reference to Australia in the title. There is, for example, no mention at all of Rocky River or Nundle or Lambing Flat (Young) or Grenfell, all significant gold-producing areas in NSW. Maybe it is a work in progress and will eventually cover all aspects of gold in Australia -- let's hope so.
