G'day. I have come across alterations made much later to NSW birth certificates, but a recent transcript I obtained also included a reference number, specifically a "Papers No. 4207/08" by the Deputy Registrar General, Sydney 13 Oct 1908, for a birth in 1864. I thought this might have pointed to another birth registration in the indexes, but couldn't find one for either 1864 or 1908. If anyone has come across a similar "Papers No." notation on a birth registration, I'd like to hear from you. Thanks Brent
