MargM, you have just confirmed my reasons for hardly ever using this list any more. 1. Did I ask you specifically if you had the biogs at home? 2. The reference to his children's non-recorded marriages in SA does not answer my questions. 3. My enquiry said he and his wife and children arrived in 1848. Obviously they were already married/born elsewhere! 4. Just because _you_ can't find him in the 1841 census doesn't mean he didn't exist, does it? 5. Why should someone requesting specific information have to document evidence of the few facts that are already known?
