Online, probably no. Try the State Titles Office or Registrar- General's Office. Your easiest way might be rate records, if a local gene society has them, but rates were paid by the occupier, who could be a tenant only. Certificates of Title were first issued in S.A. - in 1852, from memory. Other States followed. A "chain of deeds" was always in the possession of the owner. Eventually, a Memorial of each deed was lodge at the Registrar- General's Office. Talk to a solicitor, conveyancer or title searcher in your State. Doug. -- Telstra's news server has "gone away" again. Private ownership doesn't seem to have improved the level of service.
