    3. Hi I am new to genealogy and the list. I can see what you mean about ancestory being wrong. (I will be weary about it from now on) I have Charles William Smiths B/Cert and he was born in NSW 1870. I have his marraige Cert in Vict 1904 to Alma M M Rossau, this is were it states his first wife died in 1900 and 3 children living. (no name) I have a birth Cert of George Bell Smith 1907 Northcote Vict, father Charles William Smith aged 36 years. THis is where it gets messy Children Listed as - William Frederick 3 Years old Then FROM PREVIOUS MARRAIGE Charles William - 16 yrs 11 mths John August - 16 yrs Maraget Ann -12 yrs I cant find births of these children. Or anything about first wife, who died. Maybe the Susan Wales you mentioned as his mother could be his first wife?? Hi Jen Yes. That's what the ancestry tree says, as follows: the mother of Charles William (born in 1890) is listed as being Susan Wales - she is the wife of the Charles William born in about 1870. See: >> The other tree says that the mother of Charles William (B 1890) is Susan >> WALES born Victoria in 1870 and died in 1900 in Victoria.
