Noelle, NSW State Library in Macquarie Street Sydney has electoral rolls from early times (not sure how far back they go - certainly I've looked at 1870s). I think they are only on film for the 1890s (rather than on fiche) and are organised by electorate. There's a card index to help find which electorates various places were in at different times. Men only until about 1903 when women got the vote.
