Whilst I tend to agree with Janeen's view, I would not have said it in quite the way that she has. But I do strongly agree with her that 'Some people don't celebrate Christmas and we should be mindful of their feelings'. That's called consideration for others and just plain good manners. But far more distressing and distasteful is Hayley's racist comment 'If someone doesn't celebrate Xmas then they shouldn't be living in Australia'. That sort of extremist comment has no place whatsoever in this list/newsgroup. It is, even though I rather dislike the terms, both un-Australian and un-Christian.
