I have not tried it with Vista as I >only have Vista on my laptop. > Hi Ian, The following is a set of instructions which was posted in another newsgroup but not yet tried by me so I can't vouch for them. I certainly intend to try them in the near future. Incudentally, my current method with AVRI is to use a virtual drive and four image files which I load as appropriate. The method described below should be even simpler. Thanks to D.U. Ref: The "LDS Australian Vital Records 1788-1905" 4CD set I think that this is the first time I have actually used to data from this disk set by the LDS, and am passing this info along in case it is useful to others. It is possible to burn the contents of the 4 CD-Roms to one DVD, this eliminating the need to change dusks, (either physical disks, or mounted images). The Basic method I used was to just copy all the contents of ALL the 4 CDs to a common direcrory with all the files and dirs as they were, and just burn the contents to a DVD using ypur favourite burning software. I did give the disk LABEL the name of "AVR_1788" wich may or may not be required, but does make sense. My dsk is not self loading, but is otherwise ok, no need to swap disks! Works like a charm! ...Choice!! D.U. A DOS based directory listing shows a view of the files on the constructed DVD.....
