    3. Thank you to all those who replied to my query. I should have stated I had already checked out all those sights and was a contributor myself to Trevor McLaughlin's book. I was also a foundation member of the Hyde Park Irish Famine Orphans Society. Some years ago I contacted the Maitland Genealogy/Historical Society , but had no luck there either. So maybe those records no longer exist. Thank you all anyway Ros "Keith Radford" <keilyn03@tpg.com.au> wrote in message news:4acc86c3@dnews.tpgi.com.au... > Hi Ros, > Have a look at the following site > http://www.irishfaminememorial.org/default.htm > http://www.irishfaminememorial.org/orphans/ships_nsw.htm > Kind regards, > Lynne > "Ros Phillips" <ros.phillips@homemail.com.au> wrote in message > news:newscache$7mp4rk$n3a$1@news.grapevine.com.au... >> Is there any record still in existence (apart from the local newspaper) >> concerning the placement of Irish orphans and others who were sent to >> Maitland as servants from Hyde Barracks in 1850 >> > > >
