William Charles Jones b. 12.4.1914 at Pudford Farm, Martley, Worcestershire. Eng. Father George Jones, Mother Emma Green/Jones - William came to Australia by boat about 1937/8. No details known. He joined the Australian army 21.3.1941 and left 10.2.1942. His service number was V66747. (Army Record obtained) On his service form it states "name changed to Kinnersley by Deed Poll 4.6.41." Found him on 1943 Electoral Roll living at 8 Brookville Rd, Toorak - occupation Fitter. 1949 Electoral Roll at 217 Williams Rd, Fitter, also a Winifred Ethel Kinnersley, teleph, at same address. Relationship not known. Nil found Vic BMD CD collection - also NSW BMD online nil found. If he did return to UK - no contact made with family.
