This is a bit out of the usual for our lists , but I know that like me there are many history lovers on the lists that love not only ships bur trains. I will jump on a train as quickly as I will a ship. It has come to my notice that there is a proposal to run a train survice from Hobart to Bridgewater. Below are some of the meeting that are to be held in the next few weeks. I think this needs the support of the public, so please try and attend one of the public or precinct meetings where visitors are always welcome. Not only a step back in time but a step forward into the future as well. I spent my holiday in June this year finding out about the historical train rides from Cairns and spent two days of sheer pleasure seeing the countryside without the worry of speeding cars. We have a beautiful river its a pity we can't see at our leasure.
