Hi all, My uncle Edward Raymond (Ray) DEACON was the pilot of a Hudson bomber that went missing over Bass Strait on a training flight from Bairnsdale on 11 Oct 1942. The other crew, all sergeants, were Albert Fletcher MANNING born 8 Nov 1918 at Cottesloe WA, William ANDERSON born 4 Oct 1912 at Galashiels Scotland but from Boggabri NSW, and Cecil Humphrey ANDREWS born 4 Jan 1913 at Gatton QLD. I have their basic file details from the NAA and the WW2 Nominal Roll, and have found births and parents details for ANDREWS and MANNING. I would like to make contact with any family members of the three crew. Thanks Ray
