>From the Maitland Mercury & Hunter River General Advertiser, 6 June 1893 - At the Central Criminal Court to-day a young man named John Kendrick was charged with the murder of John Ahearn at Sydney on April 4 last. The tragedy occurred through a public house dispute, prisoner afterwards throwing a stone which inflicted the injuries on deceased from which he died.
