I am researching my wife's tree. I am looking to identify a John Strachan (who married Agnes Eliza Barclay in Hobart, Tasmania in 1854). Can someone advise me of the details of any deaths between 1869 and 1877 in Victoria of any John Strachan. I have these dates from newspaper adverts of events in his children's lives. Any other leads are also welcome to help me identify his ancestry. There are other Strachans in my wife's tree from around the same time and place who married into the family line. Margaret Strachan who married David Barclay in Tasmania had a brother James Ford Strachan who was in Geelong at about the same time as John Strachan (Johns marriage announcement states he was from Geelong).
