I have just found my GG Grandmother who I have been research for (for abut 25 years). Ellen Tobin born abour 1933 Cork to Ellen Quin and John Tobin. Ellen married John Ritchie about 1855 and had a daughter Annie (my great grandmother)1856 in Limerick? Ireland. Ellen came to a Australia in 1858 on the Admiral Boxer to meet with her husband John Ritchie on the goldfields near Geelong. Further research has Ellen marrying Henry Blood at Tarraville in 1859. In the Dartmoor Cemetery is a large board with a reference to John Ritchie dying in the battle of Sebastopol 1854/1855. Henry and Ellen resided in Dartmoor at Mumbannar and they had another 5 children . 1.Margaret Bood b 1860. married William Hailes 2.James Henry Blood.b1864 d 1876 3.John James Blood b 1864 married Ellen Ursular Sutton 4.Marie Blood b 1866 d 1878 5.
