Hi, I am trying to piece together my, CAITHNESS family of Williamstown, history. I would really love to collect some pictures of the area. Some time back I went to Williamstown and it appeared to me that 63 Douglas Pde is now shops, so I cannot get a picture of what could have been their place. According to the records I can find James Robertson CAITHNESS was living at 61 Douglas Pde in 1871 and his mother at 63 Douglas Pde. In 1874 James moved into 63 Douglas Pde which was a four roomed house owned by his uncle James ROBERTSON. I have tried on line (Picture Australia - Vic PRO etc) and I am guessing that this is a very long shot, but if anyone has pictures from their family history of this area that they could share I would really love it. Thank you Pat
Have you tried the Williamstown Council.
