At the time of her death she was living with her daughter in Ashfield - she had not lived in the Bankstown (Georges Hall) for some years, so it would appear that she did not change her address on the Electoral Roll. Anyway, thanks once again. Cheers Graeme

    3. Hi all I am hoping to find a living descendant of Andrew John Leahy and his wife Margaret nee Bryant. They moved from Port Cygnet, Tasmania to Melboune in the late 1890s. They had a son Matthew John Leahy, 1901 in Vctoria who appears to be the only one of their children to have descendants. Matthew married Margaret May surname unknown, and had a son Matthew Roy Leahy, perhaps about 1930. Matthew Roy married Marion Ellen J surname unknown. They had at least one child, Karen Jean Patricia Leahy, probably in Queensland abt 1950. is there any way to check on the names of the spouses please? I did look in the ancestry data base, but they didnt pop up. regards Marg OLeary Port Stephens NSW

    2. Hi Gary, my partner Jess McDonald is granddaughter to Murdoch and it rings bells that Murdoch is buried at St James Angelican Church on Church Street, Mangere Bridge but she has attempted to try find his headstone but no luck as you say Roberts grave is unmarked Murdoch's maybe as well. She was told that her grandfather Murdoch maybe buried on the left-hand side of the cemetery close to a tree. Whakatane is where Murdoch was raised and adopted in by the Cassin Family, after Mary tira Witika he later married Constance who is my partners grandmother. Murdoch and Constance had 6 children which one of whom is my partners father Donald McDonald, her father was also abandoned as a child at the age of 9 and was raised up in Auckland. My partner and her father have no info on the whereabouts of his siblings other than his mother passed away when my partner was 10 years old. If this is of any help to your research, please don't hesitate to contact my partner Jess on 02108203073

    3. Joan Millicent ROYLE is on Ancestry.com. In the UK Outward Passenger List she departed 17 June 1948 on the "Ranchi" from London for Sydney. She was aged 24. Also William Edgar, aged 32, Sylvia, 2 and Ginia, 1. In the 1954 Electoral Rolls she is living at Preston Avenue, Engadine NSW. At the same address is William Edgar Royle, electrician. Can't find any more on that family In 1963 and 1968 Douglas and Pamela Franklin were living at Closeburn, Qld. He was an agriculturalist. They seem to have migrated later (1960). 3. Dear Graeme, >From the home page of the cemetery you can contact the office to ask where her grave is: http://www.forestlawn.com.au/ Phone or web-mail enquiry. For any other details regarding the burial, Funeral director, Owner of the plot etc, you may need to produce appropriate identification, and would probably have to do that by visiting the office. At the time of her death, she was on the federal electoral roll for the seat of Blaxland. This is centred around Bankstown. There is no listing for your grandmother on the Ryerson Index, If your grandmother was active within any of the community groups in the area or there was a local tribute, you might find details through the free local newspaper "The Torch" (its office adjacent to Bankstown Airport) http://www.torchpublishing.com.au e-mail: torch at torchpublishing dot com dot au (parts of this web site seem to be off line today) Happy Hunting, Tony Moore (Castle Hill, NSW) @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ On 22 Oct 2013 at 22:05, graemeandchriskeed@gmail.com wrote: Date sent: Tue, 22 Oct 2013 22:05:06 -0700 (PDT) Subject: Leppington Cemetery Records From: graemeandchriskeed@gmail.com To: genanz@rootsweb.com > Can someone please tell me if there are any records of burials for Leppington Cemetery.
