No problem, Kate. I meant to say, I have found photos via Australian Cemeteries previously. Run by volunteers I believe and free. Very helpful. For some cemeteries (perhaps just the smaller ones), they have links to the photos on their pages. Others just list the names and you need to email them to check if they have a photo. http://www.australiancemeteries.com/ regards, Martin Elliget On Tuesday, January 28, 2014 12:41:06 PM UTC+11, Kate wrote: > I have received a great many offers of help for each request. > > I hope I have responded with thanks to all, your input is very much > > appreciated. > > > > Regards > > > > Kate > > Sydney,Australia > > > > > > "MartinE" wrote in message > > news:6ce45944-813f-4bcd-a545-95a502bf1e3d@googlegroups.com... > > > > It's only 20 mins away from me, Kate, and I know the cemetery quite well. > > It's going to be 39 C in Melbourne tomorrow and I have a few things but I > > can do it Wed (it will also be a cooler 25). Thank you to all who replied to my query about Mundia. I am now up and running Thank you Pat
I think Mundia is not working well. I can't login either. Pat I couldn't get into MUNDIA for a longtime and then after much discussion on a facebook group called Australian Family History Group .. https://www.facebook.com/groups/141114082690049/ and some Googling (and very much to the dismay of my husband ) I switched from IE to Google Chrome and can now get into it. It didn't work though for another friend . Many have emailed Mundia and some eventually got answers ( cannot remember what the advice was off hand) ... but generally the thought is that not much attention is being paid to Mundia for some reason or another. Hi, Sorry if this is not the right place to place this query - I am have been having trouble with MUNDIA for the last two or three weeks. I had been using and logging in ok for months prior. I cannot log in at all - If I get the password wrong it tells me but if I use the correct password it just comes back to the log in page. Even if I have them send a new log in/password email. Is it just me (therefore something wrong with my settings) or is it Mundia? I have tried emailing them but have had no response. Thank you Pat

The Harold Vincent BAKER who married Dorothy Berringa HUMBERG in 1926 operated and was involved in the management of hotels in Victoria. He died at Canterbury, Victoria in 1967, aged 68, parents Frederick Charles and Frances Christina nee KORTUM. She died at Box Hill, Victoria in 1985, aged 84, parents Robert and Alice Eliza HUMBERG. This request and the various responses highlight the advantage of list members checking the information they already have AND the information they are seeking BEFORE posting requests. Doing so saves wasting the time of the many people trying to help but chasing "phantoms". Hi Barbara, The marriage index 1921-1942 CD does not show a Harold Vincent Baker marriage to Annie Cahill. Hi all After doing some research today on the internet and the NZ BDM, I think this is a case of a mixup in death dates. I found a Harry Vincent Baker who died in NZ in 1949 - he was aged 83 yrs and therefore the wrong person. This is probably the same Harry Vincent Baker who married Annie Cahill in 1891 in Victoria. The other Harold Vincent Baker died in 1982 in Wellington aged 72 years. He was cremated at Karori Crematorium (you can look up the Wellington City Council Cemetery database online).
