    3. There was a brief exchange about this web site on GenANZ a month or so ago, and it seemed that very little was known about this site. I had found the site last December and left a message asking for information on a person I found listed on their database. I forgot all about it and never looked at the site again, until the message below arrived today!! When I tried to leave a comment at the URL that namessite gave me, all I got was an error message. It seems very clear to me that the information shown below has been copied direct from the Ryerson Index which is, of course, available to everybody free of charge. While I've not seen any suggestion that namessite is going to start charging for information supplied, the web site has advertising links to some pretty suss-looking USA sites that do charge for similar information. Not a web site that I would recommend or use again. Anybody else had experience with it? 3. The place was bought in 19th century (1817) by a merchant from Tallinn called P. J."Papachen" Hoffmann. PJH opened a shop . As there was no competition he became rich in no time . A proper manor house was built- a long wooden buildin g that can be seen even to-day. Also, PJH erected a small building for officials In 1891, however, the place was sold by "Papachens" son, Georg,. to an Estonian called Jaan Allik who had become wealthy on running a tavern. In a building situated behind, the former Väike -Maarja school for girls was opened in 1902. In the building for officials there was the first hospital in Väike-Maarja with four beds and a Hoffmann worked as a doctor at that hospital.

    3. Hello I am looking for some help on locating a Margaret Spencer she was born in in 1953 or 1954 and was living with her mother Ethel, in Maldon in 1963. Her mothers maiden name was Norris. This is the reason for trying to locate Margaret as she is the only link to my family in Victoria. Maldon seems to be where my family originated before moving over here to WA. I also believe my Grandfather Zachariah Norris is buried in the Maldon cemetery I'm in Western Australia and am hoping that somebody from Maldon may remember Margaret so that I can make contact with her. Any help would be appreciated Thanks Alan Norris

A search for John Smith at Holy Trinity (Spencer) Cemetery says "No results for your search" next to the picture showing the result! The same search at St Paul's doesn't do this (but the DoD is missing for John Ratcliffe Smithard). The Homepage button is a bit mystifying, as it takes you to the home page for the cemetery you're looking at, not the home page of the whole site, which there seems to be no way to return to. Perhaps you should have separate "Cemetery Home" and "Site Home" buttons. But maybe you don't need the latter as it's on a separate window/tab anyway. As a matter of interest, how long did it take to do how many stones/ individuals? I have an exceedingly large number at my "local", much of it very overgrown. Chris

A very quiet and pretty wedding was celebrated at the Catholic Church on Wednesday afternoon, the contracting parties being Mr. Leahy and Miss Iris Ahern, both of Wyndham, and passengers, on the Bambra. The ceremony was performed by the Reverend Father Long, M. S. C. The bride who looked charming was given away by her brother and Mr. Flood acted as best man.
