Hi Neville, I have only had 2 or 3 per day for the last month. Last time I posted about the lack of messages I was reminded that there had been the bushfires and that people were unable to post. It hasn't improved from then. Maybe people just don't post much any more although the genbrit newsgroup seems to have lots. -- Di I'm creative! You can't expect me to be neat too. Hi, Only this descendant need reply. I am looking for a lady who replied to my old email address in 1998 & 1999 which was thegans@keynet.com.au something like that. I lived in BAYLDON, NSW. Don't live there anymore. You are a descendant of BILL PHEMISTER. You sent me a few photos one being yourself with I think your husband (Robert ?) Cannot remember your name. Sorry ! but I remember the family link. You also sent me a photo of old BILL PHEMISTER sitting in a arm chair holding a walking cane near a house gateway. You did tell me that you were related to Sigrid Thornton. Eager to get in contact with you again. Kind Regards Jeanette

I have not tried it with Vista as I > only have Vista on my laptop. \ There are three steps. First, create a folder structure like this: D:\Data\AVR ( where D is a Hard Drive )This is done for neatness. Now, copy the NFO file from each disk ( ADR_AD, ADR_EK, ADR_LQ and ADR_RZ to the AVR folder Next, open the file AVR.INI ( the configuration file ) which is located in the folder with the AVRI program. The program should be located in a folder like this on a standard install. C:\Program Files\LDS_CD\AVR1788 Change the last line to [CD Drive] Drive=D:\Data\ ( or what ever is applicable in your case ) Basically, the program is looking in a folder called DATA for the files - it does not care if it is a CD or a hard disk. My program is actually located at : C:\Program Files\Genealogy\AVRI\AVR1788 - the first line of the file AVR.INI has been changed to reflect this. Colin ( for Julie )

That is one of the reasons I did not put Vista on any of my computers. You could always create another partition and dual boot using XP PRO or whatever you used previous to Vista. When I have done this I have always used Partition Magic. Good luck, Colin. ----- Original Message ----- From: marg To: genanz@rootsweb.com Sent: Monday, October 05, 2009 4:27 PM Subject: Help, Aus Vital records and Vista Hi all I have had my set for many years but now I have Vista, it doesn't want to cooperate. Hello there I've been trying to track arrival into Australia from London of my great grandfather - Elias Charles Neale (aka Bert - born 1887). I know he was still in UK in 1901 and was married here in 1913, so somewhere between he arrived here and I can't find any record. Would someone with more shipping info access please offer suggestion to where I could look further? I've tried most online databases but can find nothing. Also - would one of those kind people with cemetery CDs please tell me if Mary Ann Allman (nee Wickenden) died - 1950 in Sydney can be found buried? Again, I've tried all online searches but can't find her. Thank you. Best Wishes Sharon Donnellan Sydney's Northern Beaches

Hi, Has anyone taken particulars of photographs of the graves found in scrublands near Mt McDonald/Wyalgala Dam regarding the Newham graves. It is disappointing that we cannot read some of them but thought some kind person may have taken notes years ago. Kaye Payne

Dear Lists, Thought my profile days were over but have asked to do one on William Presnell and Ann Fowler. I have ben able to extract their records from official documents but have found so many different versions of their family and life in Tasmania from on line that I am quite confused. If someone on the list could steer me to anyone who may have a more up to date information I would be most grateful. Without the spelling mistakes!!! : I've found a post on the Liverpool Hibernia website suggesting John & May Elizabeth went to Australia - she is a sister to my husband's gt grandmother Ellen Campbell, born in or around Newry or Hilltown, County Down, Ireland. Very interested to hear what became of them in Aus, and when they went there. Best wishes Sheila
