A simple solution is to use Gmail for list use. The Gmail spam filters are very effective or so my experience has been. On the down side you do not get a copy of your own posting to a list back, but then you have the original. Any good ISP should have spam filters in place in any case. Not that such are 100% effective. Keith Wellington, NZ

Hi John I much rather have personal control of what mail I download than leave it in the 'hands' of a computer . Have been using Mailwash for a very long time . Can see what mail is waiting on my ISPs server and ping anything I dont want, thats not necessarily SPAM mail My ISP has a so called SPAM trap but it doesn't work very well. Mailwasher surely does Bye -- MargM Beautiful Wyong Shire NSW

    3. All the children except Dorothy Jean died in recent years, there is a good chance she is still alive. You can look for her in the Electrol Roll, the other children, look in the Ryerson Index, you will get the date of death and publication in whatever newspaper. You can then go to your State Library and look at them and obtain the family names in the notice, then track them through the Electrol Roll. Both Jack and his wife Lorna are in the Index too. 3. Hi everyone, I'm trying to date two old photographs. I have a man in a 3 piece suit (button trousers) neat stand up collar, with tie and a fob watch in the waistcoat. He has a boomerang moustache, grown past each side of his mouth. He is holding the corner of a wooden fence (prop.) At the bottom left hand corner (which has a small piece missing - looks like a carsboard backing) it has what looks like: 'L' L C Canning & Co - Star Studio 256 Bourke St East. (this is printed) The other photo is of 4 small children... A boy dress in a 3 piece short suit with a white frilled collar. The 3 girls in mid calf dark dresses, with broad collars lined with white lace and lace around the cuffs. Each dress has a huge black bow/sash. Along the bottom of the photograph (which is on cardboard) is 'imprinted': TALMA - Paris Panel - 119 Swanston Street Melbourne & at Sydney. Kind regards, Sherrie. --- http://www.silkweb.com.au/
