    3. Hello all Just wanted to share this. I have the Will of an ancestor who died 1799, I tried searching for his burial in appropriate cemeteries in an effort to find his age but alas, no record could be found. Had no idea when he was born so my search was so widespread it was all over the shop. I have just found his death in British Newspapers, stating he was in his 69th year. Tickled pink about this, as it has been a difficult search so far but now I have a timeline it "should" be easier. Regards, Kate (Sydney, Australia)

    3. Hi Shirlee, further to my last email, I did then look at TROVE and found his name listed with the Hawthorn side in two editions of the Argus newspaper. Regards Glenys Hi listers I know one of you out there will know the answer to this one. One of my fellow genies (a 2nd cousin) remembers her father saying that one of the cousins played football at the time for one of the Victorian teams. Is there any site on the internet that I can look up for names of players who have have played in either pre WW11 or after WW11. Shirlee Wellington, NZ

    3. Hi Shirlee, I hope this will be helpful, I googled the name of a relative and got a page with his statistics from when he played with AFL club Hawthorn back in the early 1930's, he only played 13 games, but it gave all the details and I had not known this information, so I guess you may be able to google the AFL and there may be links to each club and to their archives. I am sorry I can't be more specific but it all happened sort of by accident and I just took down the details and didn't keep the site.
