Hi all, Just in case there is someone still here other than spammers, I have had no posts since 23 March. Has everyone completed their family histories? I need my daily lurk :>) -- Di Maloney Vic. Australia
I'm trying to locate this place. Help! There was a family birth/death there in 1897 (McMeekin, if you want to look). The child in question was #6, and the ones either side of him were born at York and Collie, so maybe somewhere nearby? I've checked all my usual haunts, but this one escapes me. Paul

Try the Victoria Police Museum at the World Trade Centre, Mezzanine Level. Main entrance via Siddeley Street (near corner of Flinders and Spencer streets), Melbourne, Victoria. Barry Graham

http://ehive.com/esearch The Qld Police Museum, Stockman's Hall of Fame are some Aussie museum's that have photos of their collections stored on this website (NZ based). I searched police uniforms and chose images only - got 426 hits with some actual uniforms included - lots of other stuff - if you sort through you may find something there. Yes there is and if you Google New Zealand Police Museum you will get the desired results. There is a private museum in Dannevirke plus the Police museum at Porirua. Hello all I have thirty four books by Georgette Heyer. A pity to split them up by sending them to St Vinnie's, so if anyone living near Bankstown would like to have them, feel welcome. Would have to arrange to pick them up. Regards, Kate (Sydney, Australia)
Are there any sites which cover images or photos of police uniforms pre federation to 1910?
