Hi List, My g-g-grandmother was named Celia Emaline Martin. I know that she lived most of her adult life in Randolph County, AR. Figuring her age through later census records, she was born abt. 1841. Also in at least two later census records, she gives her birthplace as IL. Now I've found two possibles from the 1850 census for Randolph County: Sarah Martin, 23, Celia E., 6, TN/AR and Emaline Martin, 11, MO (listed with physician William Jarrett and his wife, Hannah. There are two Jarrett children listed and one other girl, Martha McDonald, 14, AR) In the 1860 Randolph County, AR census I couldn't find Sarah and Celia but I did find Emaline listed with Hannah Jarrett: Emaline Martin, 20, MO and one other girl, Ellen Carder, 14, MO So which one should I pursue? And what should be my next step? I know that my g-g-grandmother went by the name Emma or Emlie. Also, as an adult, she gives her birthplace as IL but I can find no other Martin's in the county at that time from IL, nor from MO if she is, in fact, the older Emaline. Any help or advise that anyone can give would sure be appreciated! Even an opinion or speculation might send me in the right direction. Cindy
