Hello, My mystery is my great grandfather, Joseph RICE. He was born in Georgia, Feb. 20, 1874. His parents were Thomas and Mary (Mollie?) RICE. The mystery is that on some documents, it says that he was born in Hopkinsville, Ky., and that his father was born in Ireland, and that his mother was Mary, born in Scotland. Then on some documents it says that he was born in Georgia, and that his parents (Tom and Mollie) were born in Ky. He married my great grandmother, Nancy Ermine LANE, August 23, 1903, in Flat Lick, Ky. Joseph died on May 29, 1947, in Bell County, Ky. My mom's family said that he was born in Georgia. They also said that his family in Georgia had disowned him for marrying out of his faith. I am trying to find out where he was born and about his parents and their families.
