Delilah: Thanks for the offer to help. >From Ancestry.com, could you let me know what names are listed as DAR, and ADC, SAC, ancestors of Caleb Howell, Sr., and/or his sons, Col.Caleb Howell, Jr., and Capt./Col. Daniel Howell, GA? These will be in the military records section. I continue to hope you can find something on their brother, Thomas, who seems to have disappeared about 1770. If you find Thomas, you might find some mention of his wife, and any details about her.He might have spent some time in/died in the Rev. War, and I am overlooking him. Thomas' son, Philip, is my ggg-grandfather. Any mention of CalebJr.,raising Philip as his son," would be very helpful. This would let me know how and with whom he spent his years as an adolescent, teen and as a young man. I know he grew up around/with his Uncle Caleb, Jr., because of family records. His mother might have married, remained in the area, raised Philip, and I have overlooked that. I have a few "holes to fill in," and need the names of claims of ancestry, i.e., for DAR application, with contact info..e.mail and/or snail mail address, if listed. Perhaps I can locate someone who has already answered these questions, and put them to rest. Also, if their pedigree charts, property description, etc., are listed anywhere in the "members only" reference areas, I would appreciate that, also. Philip Howell left Screven Co. for the Mississippi Territory (Choctaw Area), with his family, and others. They traveled on a passport from the Governor of GA, as required. If a true copy is available, not just a synopsis, I want to know who to get a copy of that also. Thanks so much. Hope I can return the favor. Victoria
