I have listed about all I have on him. Which is good considering what I had to begin with just a name, no time frame, I can not say this is my ancestor. I had a name John Williford, that committed a crime, changed his name to Mann, that was it: I found the court papers, about A- John Williford (that I have explained) is this my John Williford? I don't know... Did he change his name to Mann? I don't know. Was John Williford later captured and paid for his crime? I don't know. Did he keep his name and marry and got be my ancestor? I don't know.
