My husband is now 42 years old and has finally rcvd copies of his adoption by his parents....it gives the mothers name but I can not find it anywhere in the area where he was adopted from "The Cradle" in Cook Co. Ill, and the records there are sealed. We know she was married gave birth to a son previously but found her husband was already married, she then gave this baby up for adoption.....she again was to marry and became pregnant and he left her, she was a nannie in a home and could not afford to keep the baby or take it to her parents so she adopted it out thru the "Cradle" in 1958....My question is.....would there be records of any annulment for the first marriage and how could they be found, would it be possible to find the original birth of my husband thru the archives or would they have been changed also? Her name was Jeanette Rightler......Please help me!!!!
