I have a Hiram And Etta or Henrietta Bailey kidnapped about 1864 or a little later. supposedly from Detroit, Michigan, and brought down to Walker co, Al. Supposedly the man that did it got scared, and so left the kids with George H. Robinson and wife. They were rasied by them. The kids were suppose to have been the ward of an Aunt in Detroid, Michigan. I don't have the Aunt's name. I don't know if she is a Bailey or not. She was suppose to be an old maid school teacher that wrote books for the schools up there. It seems the George H. Robinson family raised these kids, and then when Etta had died the Aunt wanted the grandchildren back,(also because she could bring them up in luxury), and sent a man to kidnap them back, but didn't succeed. Also the dad asked the grandchildren if they wanted to go live with her, and they didn't. She was quite whealthy, and in charge of the children's estate. We need to find who she was, and who Hiram and Etta's parents were. Hiram b. 1857, and Etta Bailey b. 1862.. kidnapped about 1864-plus a couple years. These children later moved to Ar with their families. Does anyone know how we might find a teacher in Detroit that wrote children's books..??? Thanks Darlene
