Hi, I listed my story a long time ago but will do so again because I just found something that may or not pertain to my GGrandfather. Leander Leroy (Lareau) married my GGrandmother Mary L. Therrien in Manville, RI some time in the 1800's. They moved back to Shrewsbury, MA at some point. Had 3 daughters, Flora (1893), Mae (or Mary unknown when she was born), and Pearl (1898), my Grandmother. Leander and Mary had an argument, Leander left and was never heard from again. No one ever heard from him again from what I understand. I have pictures of my grandmother, her sister's and Mom with Leander's parents at their farm in Shrewsbury. I know that Mary re-married a man with the surname Scott but I don't know when. I'm also not sure if she divorced Leander. I was searching on ancestry.com today and found this: Search Results Search Terms: LEANDER (5), LEROY (164) Database: Merced County, California Deaths, 1852-1999 Combined Matches: 1 Surname Given Name Book # Page Date Range Cameron Leander Leroy 22 186 03/1957-12/1958 It seems odd that the given name shows my GGrandfathers name.
