    3. Hi Laura, When posting to a list the same general rules apply that apply to newspaper reporting--who, what, when, where. You don't say anything about the mystery, only that there is one. Oh, and a general who, your mother. When, was it in the 1800s, 1940s or last week. Where, this list can be subbed to from anywhere in the world and in fact is. I don't think each member of this list is going to individually ask you for details privately nor do I think you would want all that mail. When your husband puts a query on a genealogy list he must put names, dates and geographic location else I don't think he would get much response.
