I'm sorry, but I need to interject. This guy sounds like a real butt-head. I have been very far behind in my e-mails and am just now catching up. I get about 50 a day so it takes me awhile to find out what is going on. I read with growing interest in your search and in each new discovery. Tell the mother how sorry I am that her son has acted like this--to threaten her and yourself with stalking charges!! Ridiculous! I am sure this is heartbreaking, but if he "has a new family now" and "emphatically doesn't want any contact" the real family then that is his loss. We have had the same problems in my family with my half-siblings (I have four of them and do not speak with three of them). Anyway, my sister went to great and extensive lengths to locate my oldest niece and nephew, whom she found and we had them over to my home for a big reunion--the glad tidings faded within about 10 minutes. Apparently, they took offense at the choice of spouses of my brother and sister. The whole thing was stupid and I called a quick halt to the evening and have had no contact with them in 4 years. It's sad, but for our own sanity we have to pro- tect ourselves. Your mom and you yourself now need to protect yourselves. Do not concern yourselves with his elitist and isolationist attitude. That's his problem. He obviously knows where to find you--leave it up to him. Go on with your lives, know that he is alive, apparently healthly but with a sour attitude. Too bad for him.
