Hi Linda Do you think that he might not be dead but in a VA Hospital?? From what you say I assume that he was separated or had at least left your Mother-In-Law. If your Mother-In-Law is living and has a Marriage Certificate I would suggest you go to your local VA hospital (with Marriage Certificate) and I think that they will have to give you further information. Also, if your husband has this information and his birth certificate (listing him as his father) they would have to give him further information. Also, they are very good at helping people who are trying to make contact, but I believe you would have to go in person with proper ID to explain your reason. Hope you work something out. Pat
